  • Money Policy
    1. Reduction in, and adoption of a base mechanism for calculating Interest Rates
    2. Abolition of Dual Exchange rates
    3. Policy advocacy to establish a linkage between the maximum Bank lending interest rate and the Minimum Rediscount Rate (MRR) of the Central Bank of Nigeria
    4. Intervention in resolving the repayment of NERFUND and World Bank SME I and II loans for members
    5. Elimination of import license scheme
    6. And to mention few


  • Specific Interventions
    1. Successfully lobbied for compensation to member-companies affected by the 2002 Lagos Bomb explosion disaster.
    2. Intervening on issues directly affecting members particularly with Customs, Police, Ports Authority and Local Governments.
    3. Liaison with Governments at both Federal and States levels on specific problems affecting members.
    4. Successful advocacy for the take-off of support institutions i.e. Bank of Industry (BOI), SMEDAN etc. to provide finance and strategic intervention for the revitalization of industries in Nigeria.
